Biography

Vance started racing at the old Big Sky Speedway in the late '70's and by the early '80"s had turned in his drivers suit to build motors and crew chief for Dave McManus. He helped Dave win many season points championships. Next it was Randy Vickhammer that he guided to a season championship. He spent most of his time building engines for many more teams including Corpron Bros. Racing. Vances engines were always known for their tremendous horsepower and many teams competing today run AdVance Engines.

Vance also spent many hours refineing the technical rules for N.W.M.S.C.R.A. and can still be found in the pits most nights either teching cars for the track or helping some of the race teams.

Vance also used to drag race in the early '80's and for a time held a world record with his car at Spokane Raceway Park.
