Biography

Ron Brandt had family back in Missouri who raced so it was in his blood early on. He started racing in the early '70's at Tri-City Raceway and Missoula in the C-Class with a '57 Chevy.  When Big Sky Speedway was built in '74 he raced a Chevelle in the Street Stock, Sportsman and Superstock Divisions. He holds 2 Season Championships and a reputation as a tenacious competitor.

Ron was a logger who knew that the harder you worked at something, the better you would get at it.  That background paid off for him on the track and throughout his life.  He jokes that " After turning over so many skidders in the woods, racing was fun ..... and almost as exciting!"

Ron's son Scott has continued the family legacy making a name for himself several years ago at Montana Raceway park and Tucson Speedway. Scott is now the Car Chief/Fabricator for Giles Thornton's NASCAR K&N Pro West Series Racing Team.
