                         Biography

Dave & Cindy McManus will become the first couple to be inducted into the Hall of Fame just as they were the "the first couple of racing" back in the 1980's.  Dave got started in '74 when he and Dave Elgin put together a claimer car and Cindy was right there beside him. During the '80's there wasn't a more dominant driver as he won the season championship in the Limited Sportsman class for a record 5 straight years, competing against drivers who are already in the Hall of Fame. He dominated the out of town tracks at Pablo and Cranbrook, BC. He was president of the club and influencial in setting class rules. Cindy was club secretary and chief scoring judge and helped institute many of the scoring, judging and format rules still used today.

In 1982 Dave and Cindy were honored with the Sportsman of the Year trophy and Cindy was honored again in '84.

For their contributions and influence to the racing community, Dave and Cindy McManus were inducted into the Hall of Fame for 2009.
